Instant Messaging at MTU
MTU has developed an instant messaging (IM) service for faculty, students and staff. IM is a way to hold online conversations via text messages in real time.
This service is based on the Jabber/XMPP protocol. Users of other Jabber servers, such as Google's Googletalk or servers at other institutions, can communicate and transfer files with users of the MTU IM service.
